Cara Griffin is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker, focused primarily on directing and art direction. She is a graduate of New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Her concentration centers around practical filmmaking and how exaggerated stylization often enhances the authenticity of coming-of-age stories.
She enjoys making films that tackle the nuances of ‘girlhood’ by creating highly stylized, dream-like environments in which young girls struggle to find identity and ownership over their bodies.
Cara loves movies and TV shows about high school.
